China objects to Battle of Galwan. Salman Khan is coming to entertain movie lovers with his upcoming film Battle of Galwan. The film directed by Apoorva Lakhia is releasing on 17 April 2026.
The film stars Chitrangada Singh in a key role, along with Zeyn Shaw, Ankur Bhatia and Vipin Bhardwaj, among others. The film is based on the 2020 Indo-China clash and it highlights the valor of Colonel Bikumalla Santosh Babu.
Following the release of the teaser, China objected to Battle of Galwan. China's The Global Times, posted "A Chinese expert said on Monday that Bollywood films at most provide an entertainment-driven, emotionally charged portrayal, but no amount of cinematic exaggeration can rewrite the history or shake the PLA's determination to defend China's sovereign territory."
Indian Government source shared "India has a tradition of cinematic expression. A movie titled 'Haqeeqat' was made in 1964 and the theme was the India-China war of 1962. Another film '120 Bahadur' was made recently on the legendary battle of Rezang La. Cinemas are an artistic expression and India does not restrict it."
