Parasakthi Censor Issues Might Affect Release Plans

Parasakthi Facing Censor Troubles

Sivakarthikeyan and Sudha Kongara's Parasakthi is facing censor issues due to scenes related to the anti Hindi theme, sparking intense discussions in Tamil media circles. The film has been sent to the Revising Committee (RC) after the CBFC (Censor Board) suggested major cuts, particularly in scenes depicting the anti Hindi agitations in Tamil Nadu during the late 1960s.

The makers have decided to approach the RC, hoping to resolve the issue without affecting the film's release. Parasakthi is scheduled for release on January 10, and fans are eagerly waiting for an update. The film is set in the 1960s and is inspired by the socio-political atmosphere of that period, especially the anti Hindi protests.

The story revolves around two brothers, played by Sivakarthikeyan and Atharvaa, whose contrasting life paths lead to conflict between them. Sreeleela stars as the female lead, while Ravi Mohan plays the antagonist. The film's music is composed by GV Prakash Kumar, and cinematography is handled by Ravi K Chandran.

The makers' bold move to advance the release from January 14 to January 10 has sparked intense fan wars, setting up a near direct clash with Thalapathy Vijay's farewell film Jana Nayagan. Fans are now worried about the film's release plans and are eagerly waiting for clarity. The Revising Committee's decision will determine the film's fate.
