Rumours are coming that director Rohit Shetty contacted Kareena Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan. Rohit Shetty's simple like post on Instagram triggered all these rumours. The post said that Rohit Shetty “genuinely enjoys collaborating with Sara and is keen to bring her back to the franchise alongside Kareena.”
The Golmaal franchise has often relied on returning faces, and Kareena’s history with the series gives the possibility added weight. Rumours have it that Kunal Khemu will be stepping in as the creative consultant after making his presence felt on screen in the previous franchisees.
Kareena last appeared in Golmaal Returns and Golmaal 3. Sara, meanwhile, previously worked with Shetty on Simmba, making her addition a familiar reunion. If everything goes accordingly Golmaal5 will go to sets in 2026.
