Tron Ares Digital Release with Hefty Price Tag

1000 Crore Loss Film From Disney

Disney's science fiction film, Tron: Ares, has made waves with its stunning visuals and thought-provoking themes, but unfortunately, it flopped at the box office, incurring a loss of around Rs. 1000 crores. The film, directed by Joachim Rønning, boasts an impressive cast, including Jared Leto, Greta Lee, and Evan Peters, with a mesmerizing soundtrack by Nine Inch Nails.

Despite its theatrical failure, Tron: Ares is set to release digitally on December 2, 2025, but with a catch, it'll be available on a rental basis only, priced between Rs. 1,789 to Rs. 2,684. This means you'll need to pay to watch it on platforms like Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, iTunes, YouTube Movies, and Google Play Movies. The film's digital release strategy aims to recoup some of the losses incurred during its theatrical run.

The movie's unique blend of artificial intelligence and sci-fi elements has generated interest among fans, and its digital release is eagerly awaited. Tron: Ares is the third installment in the cult Tron franchise and explores the intersection of humans and AI.
