Ranveer Singh Controversial Comments on Kantara

Ranveer Faces Backlash

Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh's recent comments on the movie 'Kantara' have sparked outrage among netizens. During the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) celebrations in Goa, Ranveer praised Rishabh Shetty's performance but referred to the deity Panjurli Devi as a 'female ghost', which has been met with widespread criticism.

Netizens are calling Ranveer's comments disrespectful and insensitive, with many demanding a public apology. The controversy has led to calls for boycotting his upcoming film 'Dhurandhar', which is set to release on December 5. Ranveer's imitation of the film's climax scene, where he mimicked the chanting of "Om...", has also been criticized as mocking the sacred traditions of the Tulu community.

A video of the incident has gone viral, showing Ranveer imitating the scene and referring to the daiva as a 'female ghost'. Rishabh Shetty, who was present at the event, seemed to be amused by Ranveer's antics. However, netizens have taken to social media to express their outrage and disappointment.
