Maruthi Apologizes For His Comments

Director Maruthi has apologized to NTR fans for his indirect comments at the song launch event of his film "The Raja Saab". The comments, which were perceived as a dig at NTR's fans, sparked backlash on social media. Maruthi clarified that he never intended to hurt or disrespect anyone and that his words were taken out of context.

In a heartfelt post on X, Maruthi expressed his respect for Jr NTR and his fans, stating that he values the love they have for cinema and their hero. He regretted that his words were received in the wrong way and hoped that fans would understand his intention. The controversy arose when Maruthi praised Prabhas and said he would avoid using the phrase "collar lifting" as it wouldn't suit Prabhas' larger than life image, which was misinterpreted as a comparison.

The song launch event, which was attended by Prabhas fans, was a grand affair, with the song "Rebel Saab" receiving a positive response. The film, produced by People Media Factory and IVY Entertainment, is scheduled for release on January 9 and is expected to be a solid theatrical experience. With music by Thaman, the song features Sanjith Hegde and Blaaze, with lyrics by Ramajogayya Sastry.
