Despite a dip in weekday earnings, the positive wordofmouth and strong audience response suggest potential longevity at the multiplexes. The narrative’s focus on toxic relationships resonates strongly, and Rashmika’s portrayal has been singled out as a standout factor driving footfalls.

Overall, The Girlfriend marks a commendable performance for Rashmika Mandanna, blending commercial viability with critical acclaim. As the second week approaches, the film aims to sustain momentum and inch closer to breaking even, buoyed by favourable reviews and a dedicated fan base.
