Diwali releases Dude and K Ramp heading to OTT platforms

Diwali Releases Gearing Up For OTT

This year’s Diwali box office presented solid competition with multiple Telugu films hitting theaters, including Mithra Mandali, Dude, KRamp, Telusu Kada, and Bison. While Diwali 2024 was a golden year for Tollywood thanks to blockbusters like Lucky Baskhar, Amaran, and KA, the 2025 festive season turned out to be relatively disappointing. Among the releases, only KRamp managed to achieve success, whereas Dude earned an average to abovecaverage verdict in Telugu and the other titles struggled at the box office.

The first Diwali release, Mithra Mandali, arrived on Prime Video within three weeks of its theatrical run. Its reedited version is now streaming on the platform. Meanwhile, Telusu Kada starring Siddhu Jonnalagadda and Bison (dubbed) starring Dhruv Vikram have been secured by Netflix, slated to stream from November 14. Dude (dubbed) will also be available on Netflix from the same date, completing a four week theatrical window for all three films.

Kiran Abbavaram’s romantic comedy KRamp wrapped a 28 day theatrical window and will premiere on Aha Video starting November 15. The film received decent word of mouth and proved to be a steady performer in theaters. On the other hand, Rashmika Mandanna’s Hindi film Thamma (dubbed) is expected to hit Prime Videocaround midDecember, following Bollywood’s eight week OTT norm.

Overall, the 2025 Diwali lineup may not have delivered massive boxoffice hits, but the titles are gaining a fresh lease of life on streaming services. Viewers who missed these movies in cinemas can now enjoy them on Netflix, Prime Video, and Aha over the coming weeks.
