Mammootty Starrer Malayalam Film Bramayugam (2024), produced by Night Shift Studios & YNOT Studios and written & directed by Rahul Sadasivan, will screen at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles. The screening will take place on February 12, 2026, as part of the Academy Museum’s Where the Forest Meets the Sea: Folklore from Around the World film series, screening January 10 – February 12.
Written and Directed by Rahul Sadasivan, Bramayugam is a haunting exploration of fear, power, and human frailty, set within the dark ages of Kerala’s folklore. The film made and presented in Black & White has been celebrated for its craftsmanship, immersive storytelling, and atmospheric precision.
‘Bramayugam’ stars the legendary Mammootty as Kodumon Potti. Arjun Ashokan, Sidharth Bharathan, and Amalda Liz play significant roles. The film features cinematography by Shehnad Jalal (ISC), music by Christo Xavier, production design by Jothish Shankar, editing by Shafique Mohammed Ali, sound design by Jayadevan Chakkadath, sound mix by M.R. Rajakrishnan, dialogues by T.D. Ramakrishnan, makeup by Ronex Xavier and George S., prosthetics by Preetisheel Singh D’Souza, and costumes by Melwy J.
