Sonakshi Sinha is making her Telugu debut with the supernatural thriller Jatadhara, directed by Abhishek Jaiswal and Venkat Kalyan. The film stars Sudheer Babu and Shilpa Shirodkar, with Sonakshi Sinha playing the antagonist Dhanapisachini.
Jatadhara blends mythology with supernatural elements, set around the mysteries of the Anantha Padmanabha Swamy Temple. Sonakshi Sinha is excited to explore regional cinema, having previously worked on the Tamil film Lingaa. She praises the Telugu film industry for its discipline and work life balance.
Sonakshi also noted that shoots have strict timings, unlike the Hindi industry. "If you come for a shoot at nine, you cannot shoot after six - you are not allowed," she said. The actress is drawn to the script and appreciates the freedom given by director Venkat Kalyan to interpret her role.
Speaking about her character" It's dark, it's layered, and it's very different from anything I've done before," Sonakshi Sinha shared. Jatadhara releases in Telugu and Hindi on November 7, marking a new milestone in SonakshiSinha's career.
