Global Star Ram Charan's much awaited rural action drama Peddi is progressing at a fast pace with its shoot. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the film features Janhvi Kapoor playing the female lead, marking her second Telugu film after Devara. Produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas and prestigiously presented by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, Peddi is being mounted on a grand scale with a high budget.
The makers revealed the first look of Janhvi Kapoor as Achiyyamma through two different posters, showcasing her fierce and fearless character. In the first look poster, Janhvi Kapoor is seen in a rustic printed saree, accessorized with traditional jewelry and sunglasses, striking a confident pose at a microphone stand. The second poster reveals Janhvi standing atop a jeep, dressed in a blue saree, as she confidently greets a large crowd, reinforcing her character's social prominence and bold spirit.
The film boasts a stellar technical team, including Academy Award winner AR Rahman composing the music, renowned cinematographer R Rathnavelu handling the camera, and National Award-winning editor Navin Nooli taking charge of the editing. Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyendu Sharma, and Boman Irani are the other prominent cast members.
Peddi is slated for a grand pan India theatrical release on March 27, 2026, and is expected to be a major hit given the star studded cast and impressive technical crew.
