This because Siddhu Jonnalagadda is known for his bundles of energy and powerful screenpresence and Neeraja Kona is making her debut. With the film being helmed by a female, many expected a sensible film.
The cast of Srinidhi Shetty and Raashii Khanna increased the expectations and the title Telusu Kada increased the curiosity levels. But much to the surprise of all, Neeraja Kona in the name of a youthful romantic entertainer, added intimate scenes. While this has become a common norm in the current films along with the breakups shown on the screen, what baffled all is the ex lover getting ready to become the surrogate mother of her lover.
Even the most forward looking genex youngsters and movie lovers couldn't digest the fact though they are used to breakups in reallife. This itself made them disconnect with the movie. The bold elements in the story already made family viewers show no interest to watch the film at all even in OTTs.
