Mammootty Potential Return as Moothon in Lokah Franchise

Grand Future Plans Of Lokah

The director of Lokah: Chapter 1 - Chandra, Dominic Arun, has shared his thoughts on whether Mammootty will reprise his role as Moothon in future films. Arun expressed uncertainty about Mammootty's continued involvement, stating that the actor still needs a lot more convincing. Despite Moothon's importance in the Lokah universe, Mammootty's return is not guaranteed, but Arun hopes he will continue playing the role.

Lokah: Chapter 1 - Chandra has achieved remarkable success, crossing the ₹200 crore mark worldwide and becoming the first female-led Malayalam film to do so. The film features Kalyani Priyadarshan as Chandra, a yakshi, and includes cameos from Dulquer Salmaan and Tovino Thomas. As part of a planned five-film franchise, Lokah has set the stage for future installments, with Moothon expected to return in a future film, showcasing his full potential.

Mammootty initially hesitated to take on the role of Moothon, saying he would "think about it" after Arun narrated the story. However, after watching a cut of the film, he agreed to dub for the character. While Moothon won't be featured in the next film, headlined by Tovino's Chathan, he will return for future installments. Arun emphasized Moothon's importance as the prime character in the universe.
