The current box office scenario presents an interesting contrast between three films: Little Hearts, Ghaati, and Madharaasi. Despite having a modest budget, Little Hearts has managed to make a significant impact, collecting approximately Rs 1.85 crore on its opening day and crossing Rs 3.25 crore by the end of day 2.
This impressive performance can be attributed to its relatable storyline, quirky promotions, and strong technical backbone. The film's slice of life narrative, sprinkled with light hearted campus banter and family dynamics, seems to have struck a chord with the audience.
Madharaasi, on the other hand, has been performing well, especially in Tamil Nadu, where it recorded 62.22% occupancy on its opening day. The film collected an estimated Rs 13.65 crore net on its opening day and Rs 11.75 crore net on its second day, taking its domestic total to Rs 25.40 crore in just two days.
However, Ghaati is facing a slow burn, with its day 2 performance reflecting a noticeable drop compared to its opening day. The film collected around Rs 1.30 crore on day 1 and added approximately Rs 1 crore more on day 2, bringing its cumulative tally to around Rs 2.30 crore.
