Vivek Agnihotri is known for his hardhitting and realistic films which often lands him in troubles. People cannot forget his films The Kashmir Files, The Tashkent Files and now awaiting the release of his next The Bengal Files.
Ahead of the film's release on 5 Sep 2025, he spoke about his project Mahabharata. It is known that sometime back he shared that he will be coming up with a three part film titled Parva on Mahabharata.
He said he would collaborate with Karan Johar. He added "If Karan offers to produce Mahabharat for me, why would I say no...of course, our visions would have to align."
He said he is adapting his Mahabharat from a book by SL Bhyrappa called Parva. He said the author asked him to make a film on his book and also had given him the rights.
He then said "The thing is, you can't make stories based on the Ramayan and the Mahabharat as commercial projects. If you do, you'll get into trouble one way or another,"
