How small films can survive. The strike of workers in the film industry is becoming serious with each passing day. The employees union are hardening their stand as the talks are not yeilding any results. It is coming out that if the ongoing talks donot yeild results today, then they are planning to storm the Film Chamber on Monday.
Film Employees agreed to 2 of the 4 conditions set by the producers but they are not keen on relenting on the other two. The most important among them is the 9am-9pm callsheet. This the employees are refusing as they lose extra income. Another condition is the payment on Sunday.
Producers said they will give double payment only on Second Sunday and Holidays in a month but Employees are opposing this condition. Small filmmakers are keen to include non union members and they feel only then small films will survive.
