PVR Cinemas is set to revolutionize the movie-going experience in Hyderabad with the launch of its Luxury Cinema Experience, Luxe, at the Inorbit Mall in Gachibowli. The existing multiplex will be expanded into an 11-screen superplex, offering a premium cinematic experience to audiences. Additionally, there are plans to introduce the Premium Large Format, PXL, in the mall, catering to the growing demand for luxury entertainment options.
The luxury cinema experience will feature state-of-the-art technological solutions, including 4K laser projection, advanced Dolby ATMOS immersive surround sound, and Next Gen 3D system. With a seating capacity of 950 audiences, inclusive of celebrity recliners, the new cinema is designed to provide an immersive and enhanced cinematic experience. The cinema's interior will boast a stunning Art Deco-inspired lobby, with grandeur meeting functionality.
PVR Cinemas has been performing well in 2025, with significant gains in box office earnings. The company reported a 23.3% increase in revenue from operations, reaching ₹1,469.1 crore in the June quarter. Notably, 10 movies crossed the ₹100 crore milestone, and three films earned over ₹200 crore at the box office. Bollywood box office earnings jumped 38% compared to last year, driven by hits like Raid 2 and Housefull 5, while Hollywood earnings rose 72% year-over-year with successes like Mission Impossible and F1.
With its expansion plans in full swing, PVR Cinemas aims to launch 90-100 new screens in FY26, having already launched 24 screens. The company's strong performance and expansion plans position it for continued growth in the Indian film exhibition industry.
