The Kannada film industry is mourning the loss of talented actor T. Prabhakar Kalyani, who passed away due to a heart attack at his residence in Hiriyadka, Udupi. Kalyani was known for his role as a lawyer in the hit film 'Kantara'. He had undergone heart surgery five years ago and was undergoing treatment for deteriorating eyesight. The actor's sudden demise has sent shockwaves through the film fraternity.
This incident marks another tragedy to befall the 'Kantara' team. Since the shooting of 'Kantara Chapter 1' began, the team has faced several accidents and mishaps. In November last year, a van carrying junior artists met with an accident, injuring many. Junior artist Kapil, 33, tragically drowned in a river, and comedian Rakesh Pujari, 33, died of a heart attack. These incidents have raised concerns about the safety and well-being of the cast and crew.
Kalyani's death has left his fans and colleagues in shock. Born and raised in Perdur, Kalyani was a retired Bank of Baroda officer and had a passion for theater. He actively participated in various stage plays and had gained recognition for his role in 'Kantara'. His final rites were performed at the Beedinagudde crematorium.
The 'Kantara' team is still grappling with the loss of Kalyani, and the film's director, Rishab Shetty, has expressed his condolences to the actor's family. The film industry has come together to pay tribute to Kalyani's memory, celebrating his contributions to Kannada cinema.
