Tollywood 2025 half-yearly review. Six months passed by in 2025 and with this the first half of 2025 has been completed. Tollywood witnessed many films and those who happened to watch the films and the success ratio feels that subject has taken a backseat while budget shored up and shot up to the stars.
January
The starting of 2025 and the month of January witnessed the release of 15 films at the box office and among them only two turned out to be hits. Ram Charan's Game Changer which kickstarted the Sankranti celebrations amidst huge expectations turned out to be the biggest disaster.
Balakrishna's Daku Maharaj turned out to be above average while Venkatesh-Anil Ravipudi's Sankrantiki Vasthunnam turned out to be the biggest hit.
February
February also witnessed the release of 15 films and among them only Naga Chaitanya-Sai Pallavi's Thandel directed by Chandoo Mondeti turned out to be a hit. The film based on the real life incidents of the fishermen in Srikakulam propeled Naga Chaitanya into the 100crs club for the first time in his career.
March
March witnessed only 2% hit rate with the release of around 20 films. Those two films are low budget films and had no star value which once again proved that content matters rather than big banners, huge budgets and top stars. Roshan, Sridevi made their debut with Court vs No Body with Priyadarshi in the lead under the direction of Ram Jagadeesh. The film is bankrolled by Nani.
Similarly Mad Square, sequel to hit film Mad gave another hit to young heroes Narne Nithin, Sangeeth Sobhan and Ram Nithin. The film is directed by Kalyan Shankar.
April
Summer started with April but movie lovers couldn't get relief from the scorching heat as none of the films turned out to be hit at the box office. Siddhu Jonnalagadda's Jack, Kalyan Ram's Arjun S/O Vyjayanthi, Tamannaah's Odela2, Pradeep Machiraju's Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi, Priyadarshi's Sarangapani Jathakam sank at the box office.
May
May started with Nani scoring a hit with crime thriller HIT3. Sree Vishnu scored another hit with Single.Samantha's Subham won the appreciation of all while Naveen Chandra's Eleven, Nara Rohit, Manchu Manoj and Bellamkonda Sreenivas' Bhairavam, remake of Tamil film Garudan, Rajendra Prasad, Archana's Shashthipoorthi failed at the box office.
June
Narne Nithiin's Sri Sri Rajavaru started June with the flop while Nagarjuna-Dhanush's Kubera directed by Sekhar Kammula turned out to be hit in Telugu while it failed in Tamil. Ananthika Sanilkumar's 8 Vasanthalu failed at the box office and Manchu Vishnu's Kannappa ended June with a hit.
