Deepika Padukone gets a rare honor

Deepika Padukone becomes the First Indian. Dazzling beauty Deepika Padukone got a rare honor when she became the first Indian to get a star on Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2026.

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce revealed the list of celebrities and it placed Deepika Padukone alongside international celebrities Demi Moore, Rachel McAdams, Emily Blunt, Timothe Chalamet, Rami Malek, and Stanley Tucci.

The list of celebrities were chosen from hundreds of nominations during the meeting held on 20 June and was later approved by the Chamber's board of directors.

Peter Roth, former CEO of Warner Bros, Television and chairman of the Walk of Fame selection committee, said, "We are excited to announce the newest selections of 35 esteemed individuals who will be enshrined on the Walk of Fame as part of the prestigious Class of 2026."

He said “These talented individuals have made significant contributions to the world of entertainment, and we are thrilled to honour them with this well-deserved recognition."

In 2018, Deepika Padukone became the 100 most influential people in the world in the Times Magazine List and she was also awarded for her work on mental health awareness and film campaigns.
