The makers of the blockbuster Malayalam film franchise Drishyam have announced that the third part is set to go on floors. Starring Mohanlal in the popular character Georgekutty, the movie will be directed by Jeethu Joseph, the filmmaker behind the first two parts. The production house Aashirvad Cinemas took to its official social media account and officially announced that the film will go on floors from October. Drishyam 3 is expected to be the final chapter of the franchise, and fans are eagerly awaiting its release.
While the Malayalam version of Drishyam 3 has been officially announced, there is a huge confusion regarding the Telugu and Hindi versions. In Hindi, Drishyam 3 has already been announced, and they are going on floors this October. However, it is still unclear whether the film will be made with the same story as the Malayalam version or a new story.
In Telugu, there is no clarity yet on the Drishyam series, with Venkatesh's busy schedule adding to the uncertainty. A simultaneous release of all three versions would be a good strategy, ensuring that there are no spoilers or OTT effects on any version. This would also allow fans to experience the film in their preferred language without any delay.
Meanwhile, Mohanlal has delivered back to back massive blockbusters with L2 Empuraan and with Thudarum, which both ran for 200 crores at the box office. He will next be seen in Hridayapoorvam, directed by veteran Sathyan Anthikad, alongside Malavika Mohanan and Sangeeth Prathap. With Drishyam 3 on the horizon, fans are eagerly awaiting the release of this highly anticipated film.
