R Narayana Murthy About Theater Percentage Issue and Hari Hara Veera Mallu

People Star on Tollywood Issue

Veteran actor R. Narayana Murthy has questioned the link between Pawan Kalyan's film Hari Hara Veera Mallu and the ongoing theater percentage issue in the Telugu cinema industry. According to Murthy, the percentage system is essential for theaters, and the issue has been ongoing for a long time. He believes that involving Hari Hara Veera Mallu in the matter diverted attention from the real issue. Murthy emphasized that single-screen theaters are like temples and urged the industry not to sidestep the main issue or support the corporate system.

Murthy expressed his views on the theater issue, stating that increasing ticket prices for big movies is unnecessary. He suggested that if the percentage system is finalized, it will benefit producers like him. Murthy also questioned the announcement from Pawan Kalyan's office, stating that it would have been more respectful if Pawan had invited the Telugu industry people to discuss the issues in the film industry instead of talking about his film.

In addition to his comments on the theater issue, Murthy thanked Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for announcing the Gaddar Awards and congratulated the winners. He stated that the Andhra Pradesh government should also announce Nandi Awards, highlighting the importance of recognizing talent in the industry. Narayana Murthy's comments have sparked a discussion on social media, with many appreciating his views on the matter.
