Allu Aravind Distances Himself From Ongoing Controversy

Aravind Clarifies His Stance on TFI Issues

ACE producer Allu Aravind held a press conference to address recent developments in the Telugu film industry. He clarified that he is not part of the group of four individuals who allegedly dominate the industry. Aravind explained that the term "Aa Naluguru" was coined nearly fifteen years ago and has since expanded to refer to ten individuals with theatre holdings. He emphasized that he stepped away from business activities involving those four during the COVID period and does not own a single theatre in Telangana apart from a stake in AAA Cinema.

Aravind stated that he has only fifteen theatres under his management in Andhra Pradesh, and those leases will not be renewed after expiry. He requested the media not to associate him with the group of four, emphasizing that he is not involved in business with them. Aravind also addressed the issue of theatre closures starting from June 1, criticizing the unilateral decisions made by some and emphasizing the importance of resolving challenges through dialogue with senior members of the industry.

Allu Aravind expressed regret over the industry's failure to meet with Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, as suggested by Pawan Kalyan. He emphasized that no business can function properly without government support and criticized the notion that the film industry is an independent sector not related to the government. Allu Aravind also commended the note issued by the Andhra Pradesh Minister, stating that single-screen theatres are indeed facing serious issues and should be addressed through discussions.
