Miss England shocking allegations on Miss World Hyderabad Pageant. Miss World Pageant is going on in a spectacular and drand manner in Hyderabad, Telangana. India is hosting Miss World Pageant for the first time and Hyderabad got the honor of hosting the event.
The organisers have taken due care to highlight the culture and rich heritage of Telangana state. In the midst of all this, Miss England 2024 Milla Magee, who opted out of the contest citing personal reasons, now came up with shocking and sensational allegations on the organisers.
24 year old Milla Magee said “decided to take a stand after being paraded in front of wealthy male sponsors.” She described the experience as demeaning and likened it to being “farmed out for entertainment.” She added Contestants were reportedly expected to wear make-up at all times and stay in formal attire, even during meals. “The final straw,” she said, “was being asked to entertain middle-aged men as part of a ‘thank-you’ gesture to donors. There were two girls to each table of six guests. It made me feel like a prostitute.”
However, Miss World Organisation source speaking to scribes rubbished all those allegations saying “Miss England, Milla Magee, left the contest due to health reasons. All official events were hosted by the government, and no private parading of contestants took place while she was in attendance. Her comments are baseless and seem intended to stir controversy in what has otherwise been a smoothly run pageant.”
Jayesh Ranjan, Special Chief Secretary of Telangana’s Youth Advancement, Tourism and Culture Department, responded by saying, “We will be conducting a meeting regarding this on May 25. This is just an exaggerated situation.”
