Netizens blast Balakrishna for promoting liquor brand. It is known that recently Natasimha Balakrishna was conferred the country's third highest civilian award Padma Bhushan. But people are now finding fault with Balakrishna for endorsing a liquor brand after receiving the prestigious award.
Everyone knows Balakrishna's favourite liquor brand and many times on public platform he went on record that he consumes liquor. In various film functions, a bottle mixed with liquor and water was seen on his table. Balakrishna's NBK Unstoppable show is also sponsored by his favourite brand Mansion House.
Now, he endorsed the same brand starring in a commercial. The ad creators promoted in such a way that they are selling mineral water so that there will not be any legal trouble. Many say there is nothing wrong in Balakrishna endorsing liquor brands but his responsibility increased in leaps and bounds after the Padma Bhushan award and promoting drinking and consuming alcohol when it is injurious to health is not appreciated.
Netizens are requesting Balakrishna to at least have some respect to the award he got before endorsing such products.
