Legendary music composer Ilaiyaraaja has announced that he will be contributing his concert fees and one month's salary to the National Defence Fund. This decision comes in the midst of the ongoing conflict between India and Pakistan. Ilaiyaraaja made this announcement on X (formerly Twitter), expressing his pride as an Indian and a Member of Parliament. He recently debuted his first Western Classical Symphony, titled Valiant, with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
The symphony, Valiant, was composed and recorded earlier this year, unaware of the bravery and courage that Indian soldiers would soon display at the borders. This gesture showcases Ilaiyaraaja's patriotism and support for the Indian soldiers.

As a renowned music composer and a Member of Parliament, Ilaiyaraaja's decision sets an example for others to follow. His music has been a source of inspiration for millions, and now, his actions are inspiring others to contribute to the nation's well-being.
The contribution made by Ilaiyaraaja will surely be appreciated by the nation, and his gesture will be remembered for a long time.
