Manchu Manoj on his arrest.Actor Manchu Manoj has refuted rumors of his arrest clarifying that he voluntarily went to the police station to address his concerns. In a video statement Manoj expressed his frustration regarding his ongoing efforts to support students at Mohan Babu University and assist local vendors near the campus.
I have faced immense pain but I will not back down from fighting for what right Manoj stated. He revealed that his father and others have filed over 32 bogus cases against him and his wife Mounika in locations spanning Delhi Hyderabad and Tirupati adding The truth is on my side. He also alleged that university security personnel were mistreating individuals in the surrounding community. Instead of addressing these serious issues they are trying to tarnish my image with false accusations and legal battles he claimed.
Manoj further asserted that local police were hesitant to take his complaints seriously implying deliberate delays. He also recounted a disturbing incident involving an intelligence officer who initially claimed to be from the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister office. While I was staying at a resort near Tirupati this officer and his team arrived at night interrupting my dinner with friends and questioning me. When I inquired about the Chief Minister the officer abruptly changed his story stating he was part of the CM security detail he explained.
Determined to resolve the situation Manoj accompanied the officer and his team to the Bhakarapeta police station. I entered the station but the Sub Inspector did not follow me inside and instead left the premises. I spoke to the head constable requesting they summon the SI but he did not respond. I demanded an explanation for the harassment directed at me and those around me he stated.
Manoj emphasized that the entire incident was captured on the police station CCTV cameras and encouraged the media to review the footage. There have been misleading reports circulating about this incident. I want to clarify that there was no arrest just a visit to the police station. I am now planning to meet with the Superintendent of Police to expose this ongoing harassment he concluded.
