Dune-Prophecy teaser released

The long-awaited prequel series "Dune: Prophecy" has finally unveiled its first teaser trailer, offering a glimpse into the origins of the powerful Bene Gesserit, 10,000 years before the events of "Dune."  Set to premiere on Max this fall, the six-episode series, originally titled "Dune: The Sisterhood," is based on the novel "Sisterhood of Dune" by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson.

The teaser plunges viewers into a world of political intrigue and mystical power, showcasing the nascent Bene Gesserit wielding their influence across the vast Imperium.  The series has undergone a lengthy journey to the screen, facing showrunner changes and a creative reset in 2023.  Despite these challenges, the final product promises an immersive and intriguing exploration of the "Dune" universe.

Alison Schapker serves as showrunner and executive producer, with Diane Ademu-John as co-developer and executive producer.  Anna Foerster, who directed multiple episodes including the first, also serves as an executive producer.  The series is a collaboration between Max and Legendary Television, with Legendary also producing the film franchise.
