Mysore,Nov 24:This 22-year-old cricketer dreamt of donning Indian Jersey until he was infatuated by cosmopolitan lifestyle and turned himself into a dreaded dacoit!Kishore,a resident of RPC Layout in Bengaluru,was a wicket-keeper and participated in overseas tournaments in Malaysia, Srilanka and Singapore and even earned Man of the Series award in one of the tourneys. Strangely though, this high-flying cricketer has been chargesheeted by the police in eight cases including kidnapping for ransom, dacoity and road robberies.Police Commissioner Sunil Agarwal told INN that Kishore’s character and obsession for affluent lifestyle has turned him into a habitual offender.

Candidly,during the interrogation,Kishore showed no signs of regret and revealed that he was into crimes for his girlfriend and quick money. “Kishore even asked the investigators to allow him to speak to his girlfriend to wish on her birthday,” the police said quoting Kishore.Mr.Agarwal said Kishore and his five accomplices were arrested while preparing for another dacoity.“We suspect this to be a bigger gang and special teams are on the lookout for other members.We have requested the court to grant eight days of custody to strengthen the investigation process,” he said.Launching the ‘Operation Midnight’ on Nov 19,the police arrested five persons and solved 19 cases registered in Bengaluru,Mysore,Tumkur,Kodagu,Mandya and Sultan Bethari of Kerala.

Interestingly,all the arrested belonged to one gang and linked to key-accused Mahendra,who has also been arrested,in sensational kidnap case of Kushalnagar businessman Mohan Kumar and his son Tushar.Mr. Agarwal said the arrested were between 18 and 22 years and have great driving skills and computer knowledge.
