Talks between Union leaders and Singareni management on Nov 9

Khammam,Nov.6: The talks between the  Management of Singareni Collieries Company  and Representatives of its recognized union the Sigareni Collieries Workers Union will be held on Monday (November 9) .During the meeting the talks figure prominently on the issue of bonus and  the payment  of wage  dues to the  employees as per eight wage agreement at a time.Though,the management is saying that they will pay it in a phased manner.Apart  from these two issues the other  thirty minor issues also will be  taken up for discussions.

The unions are demanding 25 percent bonus  this year while management has agreed in principle to pay only 10 percent.The unions justify their claim of 25 percent basing on the fact  that last year the Management paid a bonus of16 percent to the workers.The union leaders served a note of caution to the management saying if the issue of bonus and the payment of wages due to the employees are not solved during the talks then the unions will go on strike.If both the issues are solved then there is no point of going on strike.The unions had already served a strike notice to the management in the month of October.
