Visakhapatnam,Oct 20:A woman member of Galikonda Local Guerrilla Squad was surrendered before the Superintendent of Police Vineet Brijlal in Visakhapatnam on Tuesday.She was identified as Pangicello alias Lalitha,a 14 year-old-girl, hailing from bordering Orissa state.Talking to media persons, the Superintendent of Police said that all steps would be taken to rehabilitate the surrendered naxalites through government schemes.The surrendered naxalites would be helped by way of allotment of land or financial help from Integrated Tribal Development Agency to lead an independent life.

She was worked since two to three years in Galikonda Local Guerilla Squad in the district. Later she was first enrolled as militia member for supplying food and propagating naxal programmes among the tribals and later became members of the Maoist Group. She participated in actions against the government, he said. Lalitha explained the difficulties she faced with the insurgents to the press. Lalitha said she surrendered before the police due to health problems and the moment lost its relevance due to differences among naxals.
