Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar on Monday paid homage to the late Sathya Sai Baba at Sai Kulwanth Hall where the seer’s body has been kept following his demise due to multi-organ failure on Sunday.

The cricketer arrived in Puttaparthi along with his wife Anjali to pay homage to the spiritual guru who breathed his last after battling for life for 28 days at the Sri Satya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences.

Tendulkar had on Sunday skipped celebrating his birthday after hearing the news of the godman’s demise.

The cricketer and his wife were seen with tears rolling down their eyes. They spent some time sitting amongst the large number of devotees before leaving.

The Satya Sai Baba’s body will be kept in the Hall till Wednesday morning after which he will be buried there.

Lakhs of people are expected to pay their last respects to the spiritual guru.
