The condition of Bhagawan Sri Satya Sai Baba has improved a lot compared to yesterday, stated Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences Director Dr A N Safaya.

The SSSIHMS director told media persons through a video bulletin that Satya Sai Baba’s health continues to be stable and there has been no change since Tuesday morning.

He said that though the condition of Sai Baba remained more or less the same as on Monday, his level of consciousness has considerably improved.

"His vital systems are in stable condition. He still continues to be on assisted ventilation through ventilator and CRRT, which is a slow dialysis process," it said.

He said the medical experts are taking steps to prevent any infections spreading to the spiritual leader’s lungs.

Dr Safaya added that Satya Sai Baba’s pulse rate and blood circulation were stable and he was responding to treatment well.

“All other vital parameters are nearly normal and satisfactory. He is under constant watch of the panel of doctors treating him,” Dr Safaya said.

He appealed to devotees not to come to Puttaparthi and inconvenience the authorities.
