Vineel Krishna, the pride of Andhra Pradesh who secured the best rank from State in prestigious 2005 Civil Services Exam getting selected to IAS cadre insisted the Government to get the posting for Malkangiri district in Orissa where he worked for uplifting the living standards of tribal population.

Maoists kidnapped Vineel Krishna six days ago, raising 14 demands for Orissa Government. Along with Vineel was junior engineer, Pabitra Manjhi in the captivity of Maoists. As Orissa Govt. accepted these demands, both Vineel and Pabitra were released in the forest area, 50 Kms away from Malkangiri few hours ago.

This release came after three days of negotiations; however Maoists main demand for the release of eight Maoists is yet to be resolved. Two of the leaders whom Maoists want released are Ganti Prasad and Sriramulu Srinivas. 

Vineel Krishna was a pass out in Civil Engineering from IIT, Madras who served as great inspiration for civil service aspirants in Andhra Pradesh. His name is most popular in Ashok Nagar circle of Hyderabad from where he prepared and appeared for UPSC.
