Rajamouli-Netflix deal finalised

Renowned OTT giant Netflix for long has been trying to convince star director Rajamouli to associate with it. It is known that Netflix planned to turn Rajamouli's magnum opus Baahubali into a web series and even roped in directors like Praveen Sattaru and Devakatta. But Netflix disappointed with the output scrapped the entire project.

Through Baahubali producer Shobhu Yarlagadda, it tried to convince Rajamouli. After the sensation of Rajamouli's RRR through which Netflix regained its lost glory, it intensified its efforts. Netflix offered Rs 100crs deal for Rajamouli and inside talk is Rajamouli gave a green signal.

However, the buzz is that Rajamouli will not direct the web series instead his son Karthikeya will direct it. Sources say Rajamouli will be the showrunner while his son Karthikeya will be helming it. Netflix also gave in to this deal as Karthikeya got associated with Baahubali and RRR and even directed a few parts of it.
