Kollywood actor Karthi is known for his versatile performances. His film Sardar is capturing the imagination of all. The film directed by Mithran is the most awaited film. the film stars Raashi Khanna as the female lead and is racing for a spectacular release on October 22, 2022. The film's Telugu rights have been acquired by Nagarjuna's Annapurna Studios for a fancy sum couple of days back.

This surprised many but there is a secret behind Nagarjuna acquiring Sardar Telugu rights on his Annapurna Studios banner. It is known that Mithran created a sensation with his film Irumbu Thirai starring Vishal. The film which was released in Telugu as Abhimanyudu created a sensation. Right after that Mithran narrated a high-octane action entertainer to Akhil and Nagarjuna loved the story instantly.

However, Nagarjuna felt that the story has vast reach and immense potential with hero elevations and had the opinion that it would be too much for Akhil to shoulder such huge responsibility. So Mithran did the film with Karthi and the story which he narrated to Nagarjuna happens to be that of Sardar. Since Nagarjuna shares a good relationship with Karthi as both starred in Oopiri and Karhi is known for his impactful and powerful performances, Nagarjuna is confident that Sardar will create a sensation in Tollywood and so acquired the Telugu rights.
