If I’m Not An Actor, I Would Be There: Vijay

Jathi Ratnalu starring Naveen Polisetty, Priyadarshi and Rahul Ramakrishna is due for release on March 11th. Anudeep KV has directed the film, while Nag Ashwin produced it under Swapna Cinema. Vijay Deverakonda attended Jathi Ratnalu pre-release event that has been held today as the chief guest.

Vijay said that he woke up with Nag Ashwin’s message asking him to get ready for the pre-release event. “I came here for my friends Nag Ashwin, Naveen and all of you. If I’m not an actor, I would be there watching the event like all of you. Everyone had this doubt whether people will come again to theatres. We must thank the support of Telugu audiences, because of whom many films releasing. In Mumbai, they appreciate the devotion of Telugu audience,” said Vijay thanking Nag Ashwin for all the support during his initial stages.

Director Anudeep KV said that he cast Naveen Polisetty, Priyadarshi and Rahul Ramakrishna as he wanted pucca chichora batch. Nag Ashwin thanked the crowd for coming in huge numbers.

Naveen Polisetty said he had gone through many tough phases in his career and he met Vijay Deverakonda 10 years ago. “We met at a theatre work shop. I’m really happy to see Vijay reaching this level. It’s a memorable moment in my life. I should thank my producers for not accepting any OTT deals during lockdown.”
