Varalakshmi Sarathkumar has created a niche for herself doing female antagonist roles and making a lasting impression on movie lovers. She is recently seen as Jayamma in Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja's Krack. She has done an important role in Allari Naresh's Naandhi which is set for release on 19th of this month.

Speaking to scribes, Varalakshmi shared her secrets. She said after watching the film, her father Sarathkumar made her speak with Megastar Chiranjeevi calling from his phone. Raving about Chiranjeevi, she said, "The way Chiru sir spoke to me and remembered my character was so good to hear. It was the best compliment of my career."

On her role in Allari Naresh's Naandhi, she said she is playing the serious role of a lawyer and takes Allari Naresh as a case study, travels with him and helps him fight his adversaries.

On getting typecast of doing antagonist roles, Varalakshmi says, "Vijay Sethupathi is my inspiration. He is doing all kinds of roles. I want to break the myth that only heroes can do versatile roles. For me, the character should excite me even though it is different. If you look at my roles, they are different from each other. My upcoming films are also going to show me in a different manner."
