Krishna Vamsy is one director who never cares about adverse situations around him. He is a true fighter and delivered some evergreen films in contemporary Telugu cinema. One more addition is here to come in front of us in the form of Ranga Marthanda.
Going by the inner buzz in film circles, makers of Ranga Marthanda are looking for OTT release because the film is almost finished with production and there are few portions yet to be canned. In parallel, post production works are also in the pipeline which makes way for the final print.
Ranga Marthands is a remake of Marathi flick Nata Samrat which revolves around the tragic family life of a devoted stage actor played by Nana Patekar. Definitely, no director other than that of Krishna Vamsy could do justice for the subject and Prakash Raj reprising Nana Patekar’s character is worth mentioning.
Having kept heart and soul into the making of Ranga Marthanda, obviously Krishna Vamsy dreamt of a theatrical release but given the devastation created by pandemic, even OTT release might win several accolades because the film will surely appeal a section of audience for its heart squeezing emotions. Ramya Krishna, Brahmanandam also played two crucial roles.
One more time, KV's commitment and sincere efforts are put to test.
