Pawan Kalyan reportedly signed to do Telugu remake of Malayalam blockbuster Ayyappanum Koshiyum. Vijay Sethupathi is considered to play other lead role. Apart from these, Pawan Kalyan is said to be doing remake of Tamil hit Vikram Vedha. He will also be doing straight films with Krish and Harish Shankar. Many wonder why Pawan Kalyan is keen on doing remakes, rather than doing original films.

Pawan Kalyan has decided to bid adieu to films before next elections. He wants to do as many films as possible, to earn some money to spend them for election campaigning and also to strengthen his Janasena Party.

Remakes will not take much time, as few changes in the scripts are more than enough. When it comes to straight films, it will take long time to pen stories and production works will also take enough time. Thus, Pawan Kalyan is opting for remakes.
