Aditi Rao Hydari made a name for herself in the south with Mani Ratnam's Cheliya and went on to star in Sudheer Babu's Sammohanam and Varun Tej's Antariksham. Speaking to scribes she raved about Hyderabad.

She said people mistake her for being a North Indian seeing her name Hydari. She said she hails from Vanaparti, Telangana and her grandfather happens to be Vanaparti Zamindar Rameshwar Rao.

Aditi Rao revealed her grandmother Shata hails from Maharashtra and she found Vidyaranya School in Hyderabad. She said her mother is Vidya Rao and her father Ishan Hydari and her paternal grandfather used to be Hyderabad Prime Minister during Nizam rule.

She said her grandfather played a key role in the development of Osmania University. She said her grandmother started the Hydari club for women. She said she did her schooling in Risi Valley School in Mdanapalli and did her PG in sociology at Lady Sriram College in Delhi. She added that her mother joined her in popular dancer Leela Samson's school and it influenced her in her Bollywood dreams.

Aditi revealed that she faced a lot of troubles when she tried for offers and she cried in her room many times. She said she decided to do Sammohanam's role even before Indraganti narrated the story. She said she learned Telugu and dubbed for her role in Sammohanam as many Bollywood actors are doing the same though they are not from Telugu states.

She said Amitabh Bachchan praised her once saying he couldn't take off his eyes when he watches her performance. She said Rekha wrote a letter to her after Padmavat's release. She added that Jaya Bachchan recommended her name for Mehrunnissa's role in Padmavat.
