Even now people rave about Kamal Haasan's performance in the film. Chiranjeevi during that time watched that film and then recollecting the incident said, "After hearing about Kamal's performance I watched Swathi Muthyam specially. At once I got extremely disappointed and dejected.

I understood what I am losing after watching Kamal Haasan's performance in Swathi Muthyam though I am hailed as the Supreme Hero, Dynamic Star. For three days I felt very sad and wondered whether I will get such a role and subject to perform on screen in the future."

Chiranjeevi continued, "During that time Suhasini who was starring in a film with me found out the reason for his dullness. Director Vishwanath sent a message that for great actors good stories will come for everyone when the time comes. Suhasini informed my sadness to Vishwanath and later I got the golden opportunity to star in Swayam Krushi in his direction".
