Modi Receives Trolls and Criticism

It seems PM Modi drastically failed to understand the psychological state of the minds of the people at the moment. Two weeks ago, when the PM called for the nation to observe Janatha Curfew, people obeyed his urge as they had made out the calamitous situation arose with the outbreak of deadly novel coronavirus.

As and when, Modi urged the nation to observe 21-day lockdown, people had to reluctantly welcome his proposal and have been getting isolated themselves in their homes. They are currently in a state of exhaustion. Neither do they have any work to do nor have any entertainment outside. The situation turns immensely worse for the poor and needy who win their bread with their daily wages.

At this pathetic scenario, the PM as usually appeared this morning in TVs to convey a new message. This time he sought people to spare 9-minutes on Sunday night at 9 to light candles switching off the powers in their houses.

"This time, however, people seem to be not in that great spirits to obey the PM's appeal. They are desperately waiting to come out of lockdown crisis and want to lead their regular mode of living. At this juncture, Modi's call, obviously, made them irritated," says a political analyst. As a result, some criticism and trolls are seen in social media.

On the other hand, opposition parties like the Congress party have slammed Modi's today's address to the nation.

"Listened to the Pradhan Showman. Nothing about how to ease people’s pain, their burdens, their financial anxieties. No vision of the future or sharing the issues he is weighing in deciding about the post-lockdown. Just a feel-good moment curated by India’s Photo-Op PrimeMinister!," tweeted the Congress party's senior leader Shashi Tharoor.

Meanwhile, most of the people are predicting if Modi would appear at 8 pm again in one of the upcoming days and would impose more rules which trouble them.
