Power Star Pawan Kalyan associated with Janasena party's activists from Repalle on Sunday. He expressed his views on various issues in the meeting.

Answering for one of the questions, Pawan Kalyan said, late NTR won 1983 general elections as there were no distribution of money and bikes those days. Furthermore, NTR made an election promise to give one kilo rice for just Rs.2 for hte poor people which led late NTR's victory in 1983.

But then, Pawan Kalyan's analysis is rubbished by the political analysts. According to them, the Congress party ruled the united AP over the decades until NTR floated TDP. With no option left upto 1983, people kept on electing the Congress party in the state.

As and when NTR launched the TDP, people thought it was something different and elected the TDP with a thumping majority. In subsequent days, TDP emerged as an established party and scored successes and failures in the successive general elections.
