3 Capitals: Criticisms & Best Retorts

Ever since the AP Government took an earth-shaking decision to develop three capitals in lieu of single capital Amaravati, a huge controversy was embroiled in political circles which led Every Tom Dick and Harry started conveying their voices. Obviously, oppositions are craving to get benefited with the issue. They indulged in a vast number of criticisms. Incidentally, some political analysts have solid retorts to those criticisms. Checkout the following. 

CRITICISM: Amaravati is centrally located capital of AP. Neither Vizag nor Kurnool has that advantage.

RETORT: New Delhi is not located in Central India nor Hyderabad in Telangana. Even then, both the capitals had great development.

CRITICISM: Five thousand crores were already expended in Amaravati for the constructions of secretariat, high court, MLA quarters and so on. It's mere waste of money shifting executive and judiciary wings to Vizag and Kurnool respectively.

RETORT: Vizag is a ready made city which requires just Rs.2000 crores for all the proposed constructions. The same is the case with Kurnool city as well. Had another party come into power, it would have spent one lakh crore extravagantly on Amaravati. Thus, the development might have been centralized to just Amaravati as in the case of Hyderabad. By and large, Amaravati development could have led to the poor plight of people of other areas.

CRITICISM: Around 29000 farmers sacrificed their lands for capital city.

RETORT: It's not a sacrifice. They wanted more profits, say in crores per every acre they gave away to the Government under land pooling. Precisely, they are worrying about the depreciation of land value which increased abnormally until some days ago. Meanwhile, the Government is learnt to have decided to do justice to small scale farmers.

CRITICISM: How can you justify Vizag as a capital?

RETORT: As is said, Vizag is a ready made city that has the connectivity of air, rail, road and sea. The initiative on making Vizag as one of capitals would lead to the development of backward areas of North Andhra, East and West Godavari districts.

CRITICISM: How can you justify Kurnool as a capital?

RETORT: Kurnool is the city of historical importance. Tourism can be unraveled with innovative approach in administration. Furthermore, entire Rayalaseema region can be elucidated with Kurnool being the capital.
