AP Disha Act: A Threat to YCP?

AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's aggressive approach in some of the crucial decisions appears to harm the party in long time. AP Disha bill was passed in assembly on Friday. 

According to this act, investigation will be completed in 14 days and the culprits will be punished in 21 days from the time the case is filed. Besides, there will be imprisonment to the netizens who indulge in harassment of women in social media. 

However, opposition parties like Janasena and TDP are known to have felt the bill a bless in disguise. "Actually, this bill is a huge threat for YCP activists. They are known for their raw and rugged rowdyism. There were many instances some YCP loyalists indulged in harassment of women. Hereafter, they will get severe punishments," says an opposition party's worker. 

"It could be lot better if Janasena and TDP induct a big number of women in social media wings. If at all, they are harassed by ruling party's workers, the parties high command can get the right for instant justice," says another opposition party's activist. 

It's all up to a person's attitude that prompts him molesting women but not political party. Hence, opposition parties should not blame ruling party," says a psychologist.
