Raashi Khanna who made her debut in Bollywood with Madras Cafe, however, reached new heights down south after entering Tollywood with Oohalu Gusa Gusa Laade. She didn’t look back and scored hits like Bengal Tiger, Supreme, Jai Lava Kusa, Tholi Prema, Srinivasa Kalyanam etc.
Though she got shocks in form of Oxygen, Touch Chesi Chudu etc, she is bouncing back and is now pinning all her hopes on upcoming entertainer Venky Mama, a multi starrer with Venkatesh and Naga Chaitanya. Apart from it, she is starring in Sai Dharam Tej's Prati Roju Pandaage, Vijay Devarakonda's World Famous Lover.
When scribes asked why she isn't doing Hindi films and is getting confined to Telugu films, she said, “Hindi films may have a bigger reach, but that’s not my aim. It’s not like I don't want to do Hindi films or that I’m not trying for them, but it’s never been on my mind. South films have a very big reach today and I don’t need to go anywhere else.”
Raashi Khanna went on to add that language is not a barrier for her and she is only looking for good roles. She made it clear that Hyderabad is her home and she doesn't want to sail in two boats.
