Darbar Beats Routine Drums

Super Star Rajinikanth has sensational stardom and his fan following across the world does wonders for his films. However, of late even his fans are unable to save his routine entertainers. Except in Kollywood where he has a powerful market, he lost his market in other regions, the prominent among them being Tollywood.

Till a decade back, top Tollywood stars used to postpone their film releases whenever Rajini's films release. But of late no one is bothering about Rajinikanth's films.

All his recent films bombed at the box office and now Darbar is not doing business in Tollywood. It is known that Rajini is playing dual role in Darbar and in one role he will be seen as a powerful police officer. Rajini is romancing Nayanthara in the film for which Murugadoss is the director.

The makers released lyrical video of the song Dummu Dhooli Recently. Anirudh Ravichander scored music for the film. Anirudh has good following among music lovers as he had many chartbusters. Dhummu Dhooli song lyrics elevated the heroism of Rajini but what shocked all is Anirudh came up with a routine tune.

Many are expressing doubts whether the makers are coming with another Peta. For Rajinikanth's Peta too, he came up with similar tune. SP Balasubramaniam sang the song with great energy and except for that many missed the novelty feel. Fans are unable to digest the routine repetition and that too from Murugadoss and Anirudh combination.

During Dalapathi days itself Rajini's films used to have creative tunes and one cannot forget the tunes and BGM for Rajini's Basha which created a sensation at the box office. Rahman's tunes for Rajini's films created a sensation at that time. If one compares all of them, Anirudh's tune pales completely. Hope Anirudh realizes this and comes with new and appealing tunes which will be a plus to Rajini's Darbar.
