Commitments Rampant In T-Town

Me Too campaign motivated many women to name and shame the top personalities in various professions. Drawing inspiration from Hollywood, actresses from Bollywood and other regional industries made startling revelations and shocking allegations creating ripples in the industry. However, the movement quickly evaporated as those who made the allegations stopped short of taking legal action against the accused.

This only helped channels getting increased TRPs with hue and cry in their TV shows. With those accusing failing to provide any proofs, suspicions increased on their motives. Under these circumstances, a question arises as to how Tollywood transformed itself in the controversy.

Tollywood after MeToo movement and casting couch accusations have taken strong steps to prevent them on and off the sets. It created a separate cells to deal with such accusations. But inside talk is even after such steps, such things are happening in the industry. Those who were careless about cameras, secret recordings are now extremely careful. 

Some while signing new heroines for their films are asking them 'WITH COMMITMENT', few Mumbai beauties who are entering Tollywood are shedding all inhibitions and are giving green signal to commitments and getting good offers. Some, however, are telling frankly that they will not give any commitment. This shows that the situation did not change drastically in Tollywood.
