Former Andhra Pradesh Minister Ganta Sriniasa Rao launched his son Ganta Ravi Teja as hero with a film titled Jayadev. The film directed by Jayanth C Paranjee was official remake of Tamil hit Sethupathy. Although Ganta spent lavish budget on the film, it turned out to be a disaster for various reasons.
First of all, promotions were not up to the mark for the film. Then, it was a wrong choice of remaking a Tamil film. Lastly, Ravi Teja was not fully prepared before his foray into films. Apparently, Ganta Ravi made his mind not to test his luck again as he hasn’t signed his second film. It sounds as if Ganta Srinivasa Rao is not ready to take another risk.
Now, another politician cum industrialist Galla Jayadev is launching his son Galla Ashok as hero with a film directed by Sriram Adittya. The film’s regular shoot commences today.
It seems Galla is not repeating the mistake of Ganta. In fact, Galla Jayadev too faced humiliation when Dil Raju shelved the launch pad of Ashok for unknown reasons.
Galla Ashok went to acting classes at Satyanand and he underwent rigorous training for physical transformation to look chic in his debut flick. The first look posters show Galla is very much comfortable in facing the camera.
Nidhhi Agerwal who is riding high with iSmart Shankar is roped in as heroine and she reportedly paid bomb for doing this yet-to-be titled flick.
Galla Jayadev who spent heavy bucks just for launching ceremony will be pouring huge budget on the film. He is happy even if the film becomes a commercial failure. But, his intentions are clear that, his son should win appreciations for his first flick and should get offers after its release.
After listening to various stories, he opted to Sriram Adttya’s as he was very much pleased with the script.
Above all, Ashok Galla will have the backing of his super star uncle Mahesh Babu who is close to Galla Jayadev.
Let’s see whether Ashok Galla make his mark in the industry with his first film!
